After graduating from the Beijing Academy of Dance, Gu Xuan joined the China National Song and Dance Ensemble as a dancer. In 2007, he began teaching dance at various community programs in California. Since 2011, Gu Xuan has been a choreographer and dancer with Shen Yun Performing Arts in New York.
